Ingredients
- Artichokes
- Half a white onion
- Salt
- Pepper
Proceedings
Prepare the artichokes by removing the thicker leaves and hay and cutting off the tips. Throw away the hay and boil the cut parts in a pot of water with the other ingredients except pepper.
Let it boil for about 20 minutes, then turn off the heat and let the broth cool in the pot.
Strain and serve hot with ground pepper.
Use the main part of the artichoke by making a cream or sautéing it in a pan with garlic, olive oil and fresh herbs.
