Heat the olive oil in a frying pan and brown the chopped onion slowly with grated ginger. When the onion is cooked well, turn up the heat and let it turn a golden color.
Meanwhile, heat the oven to 150 degrees. Bake the salmon 7 minutes.
Remove it from the oven and serve immediately with salt, ground pepper and the onion (if you wait it will continue to cook and it won't taste so good anymore!).
